On Thursday 29th 2025, we hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising money for cancer research. As we all are affected by this, it is a very worthy cause. It is quite a journey navigating the treatment of cancer and it would be great if they can research areas to improve treatment.
We had a great attendance and a lovely time was had by all. A huge THANK YOU to our wonderful and willing band of helpers, who worked tirelessly throughout the morning. They were truly amazing. The craft ladies had a beautiful selection of hand-made items for us to purchase, with all proceeds adding to our final total. It was a team effort by everyone and as usual we did have enough food for everyone.
Father Brian gave us a very uplifting talk, as always, encouraging us to remain positive in all areas of life and how important it is to be part of a community who cares. It helps us wade through all our ups and downs, with the love and strength of our Lord Jesus.
We had two door prizes and many entry prizes, thanks to the many who donated to us. Jamie very kindly pulled the numbers out of the hat, and there were quite a few.
In all, we raised approx. $1300, so a big THANK YOU to everyone!
